First off, welcome to the online home of Sonata Beer Labs (formally Double Helix Brewing Consulting).m For the past several years, we have been offering QC testing to local breweries and some not so local and we continue to do so. We continue offer a range of testing service as well as yeast banking and small scale propagation (click here for more information).
Now it is time to expand reach a wider market. To do so, we will be offering a range of homebrewing supplies, difficult to find in the US market place. In our first offering, we are proud to be offering Escarpment Laboratories yeast to US homebrewers (https://www.escarpmentlabs.com/).
Our friends at Escarpment Labs has been crushing it in Canada and we are excited to help introduce them to US homebrewers. They have been on the bleeding edge of yeast development and isolation and in fact, they have even created an new hybrid strain from a Saison strain and a Norwegian Kveik. This unique strain, Jotunn, has the same rapid fermentation of a Kveik yeast but is now POF+. It also has the flavor profile and ultra dry finish of a Saison yeast but now with much higher flocculation. Click here to learn how they did it.
